HUG & HUG EXPERIENCE is a vibrant outdoor contemporary circus theatre performance and living installation that promises to engage audiences in a unique exploration of relationships - between people, objects and the environment that surrounds us.

Through a fusion of aerial dance, physical theatre and striking visuals, the audience is invited to rediscover the power of touch, connection and the simple act of a hug.

HUG is supported by Without Walls and commissioned by Ensemble Festival, Brighton Festival, Stockton International Riverside Festival. Supported by Centre 151. Supported by 101 Outdoor Arts Creation Space.

Discover circus with Skylight Circus Arts

Our open have-a-go circus workshop invites children, young people and adults to explore a range of circus skills in a welcoming and creative drop-in circus workshop. Try your hands (and feet) at juggling, plate spinning, diabolo, flower sticks, hula hoops and more.

Two experienced Skylight circus teachers will be there throughout the workshop to help you get started, demonstrate tricks and support you to build your skills at your own pace.

Inclusive circus is at the heart of what we do at Skylight. We work to make circus skills accessible to as many people as possible, creating opportunities for people of different ages, abilities and experience levels to take part, explore and enjoy circus together.

No previous experience is needed. Whether you’re mastering your first plate spin, getting to grips with a diabolo or taking on a new juggling challenge, there’s something for everyone to discover.

Suitable for children, young people and adults, it’s perfect for the whole family.
