Christmas Volunteer Stars!
Across Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November, Wonder Arts transformed St Mary’s Market into a Winter wonderland with two magical festive shows, “Jack Frost’s Snow Time Adventure” and “The Snowy Day”, created in partnership with Theatre Porto and Can’t Sit Still. Families stepped out of the cold and into a world of snow, storytelling and dance, with low-cost tickets helping to make Christmas theatre accessible for as many children as possible.

Across both days, we had some of our Young Volunteers help bring these shows to life.
Throughout the weekend, the Young volunteers assisted with a variety of important tasks that kept everything running smoothly. They helped audiences find their way to the venue, answered questions, and supported the artists by addressing any queries quickly and efficiently. By doing so, they allowed the performances to flow without interruptions, ensuring a magical experience for everyone involved!
In addition to practical support, the volunteers helped spread the festive cheer by creating social media content during the busy days. Their posts and photos captured the joy and excitement of the events, helping to share the Wonder Arts magic with a wider audience. This behind-the-scenes work brought the events to life.
At the end of the second day, the volunteers showed great teamwork by helping to pack down equipment and tidy the venue, making sure everything was tidy and as it was before. Their dedication and energy were vital to the smooth operation of the Christmas weekend, providing a seamless experience for both visitors and performers.
Wonder Arts is proud to support and work with our young volunteers who bring so much enthusiasm and commitment to our events. Their contribution during the Christmas shows highlights how volunteering not only benefits the organisation but also empowers young people by giving them the chance to develop new skills, gain confidence, and be part of something.
