A week of wonderful work experience!
Last week, we had a superstar join the Wonder Arts team—meet Felicity! Here’s a peek at her wonderful week of work experience with us…
Monday: First day on the job! 🖍️📦
I kicked my week off by designing a suggestion box for the Young Wonders and their steering group, using old Wonder Arts leaflets to give it a makeover. I also helped dream up a social media plan and even filmed my own intro for the Wonder Arts socials!
Tuesday: Data Detective & Ticket Master 📊🎟️
Tuesday was all about numbers and organisation. I became the resident data expert, gathering stats from Facebook and Instagram, and helping us get ready for our event that week. I learned the ropes of the registers and found out just how much goes on behind the scenes. By the end of the day, I was feeling right at home and more at ease!
Wednesday: Event Day! 🥁📸
My first Wonder Arts Event! I helped set up for our event, greeted guests, snapped photos and videos, and even joined in a Katumba drumming workshop! I captured all the action for social media and stayed to help tidy up!
Thursday: Feedback & Flower Power 🌱📝
Another day, another event but with different tasks! I took on more responsibility, helping to record feedback from artists and participants and snapped more wonderful photos, guided our younger artists through a plant-making activity, and even stepped in to help run a Young Wonders session. Talk about long day!
Friday: Wrapping Up the Week📷💬
On my last day, I made sure all the feedback I gathered was organised and sorted through a week’s worth of photos and videos. I had so much content! I reflected over my week at Wonder Arts and all the different things I got to do.
“Felicity fitted into the team seamlessly, it was like she’d been working for Wonder Arts for years. In what was a very busy week, Felicity brought a brilliant work ethic, fun, loads of energy and most importantly...brownies!!
Really looking forward to her working with us in the future, she’s now very much part of the Wonder Arts Family”
“Having known Felicity beforehand, it has been a pleasure to see her progress during her work experience with us!”
“Felicity was a joy to have around showing determination, adaptability and a willingness to work hard, we’d have her again in a heartbeat ”
